Have you ever come across a beautiful face? Of course yes! Aren’t we all?
Imagine meeting a beautiful face with all preset materialistic perfection, what a treat to eyes! Frankly, admit or not, we raise an eyebrow every time we encounter beauty. That’s perhaps how we are programmed to be, but one small question, how often do we feel them? Have you seen how much efforts does it take when the cover face is made? Tiring make ups, exhausting diets, unwilling skin alternations at times, and all of these to look good!
Today, let’s take a moment to start feeling the beauty, enough of seeing already.
How often do we feel the efforts behind such a masterpiece?
Have you come across a scar on a face that is hidden with tons of make up?
A puffy eyes covered with concealers, and a swollen bump covered with other artistic marvels? I did!
I encountered a recent experience when I was asked about the scars on my hand which otherwise would be highly mistaken (by default of course) to be a so called “weaker” section of the society for the reason being “coward”
“Arreyyy she cut her hand! Could be love failure!”
“Oh Mahn… look at those cuts, must have been a Suicide case!”
“Oh girl! What have you done to your hands? Depression? Break up? “
All the above unsympathetic gestures that they think make sense, is absolutely unnecessary and insensitive!
Little do they know the story,
Little do they know the journey
Little do they know the end to end pattern of mental abuse or toxicity.
But why? Mental health is still a taboo, people seeking mental help are often considered “weak”!
“Therapies are for lunatics”
And what not!
Perhaps that’s why less people care about mental health and a large portion of them are lost every year for depression, anxiety disorders and suicidal thoughts.
Next time when you see beauty, see the bravery, rejoice them for who they are.
Appreciate efforts over appearance.
Appreciate gestures over manipulations
Don’t get carried away with what the so called “beauty” is, feel the bravery, perseverance, determination and the self esteem. When you compliment them on these new norms, trust me, the definition of Beauty itself transforms to be very fulfilling.
Try complimenting someone near you, for their bravery and look at the spark in their face! That my friend, is your blessing.
God is already watching and that spark in the eyes that you just created, is Gods way of telling them that they are Precious no matter what, and that world still is beautiful cuz of lovely people like you exist.
Share a fulfilling compliment and let’s make this world a better place, enough of toxicity already, let us not pass this trauma to the next generation.
Thanks for reading <3
